In February of 2003 Mitch and Grace Keirstead purchased an existing gift store located in Arthur, Ontario and changed the name to Village Gallery…the gift store. In August 2006 they opened a second location in Mannheim using the name eclectica…the gift store. In 2009 they purchased the building next door and the expanded store was renamed so that both stores had the same name. The location at 147 George Street with 3500 square feet of display space is bigger than the first two stores combined. The hallmark of the store has always been living up to the name with a huge variety of stock and having something for anyone at any age. The quality of choices is what you’d expect from Mitch who was a full-time artist for more than thirty years before beginning eclectica. The store proudly exhibits the work of more than 130 Canadian artists and artisans among the vast array of product. An emphasis is placed on Canadian potters and jewellery makers.
